BR27198643 – Development of digital competences of human capital in industry and logistics through cluster collaboration of science, education and industry
Objective of the project – Conduct research on assessing the level and degree of digitalization in Kazakhstan's industry (in mechanical engineering, chemical industry and logistics), identify the reasons for the lag in adapting to digital technologies, and develop strategic recommendations for improving digitalization processes.
Relevance: In Kazakhstan, where digitalisation is still developing, advancing employees’ competencies is essential for successful digital transformation. Based on international experience and an assessment of current digital skills in manufacturing companies, a Digital Maturity Model of Human Capital will be developed. This model will enable companies to evaluate employees’ digital readiness and make strategic decisions for workforce development. A cluster platform will also be established to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, support competency development, monitoring, and forecasting future workforce needs.
Scientific supervisor: Candidate of technical sciences, Associate Professor, Mukhanova Gulmira Samudinovna
Expected and achieved results: The program will establish a laboratory for developing and testing digital technologies, fostering collaboration between business, science, and education and enabling knowledge and resource exchange. It will include a comprehensive assessment of digital platform use in industrial sectors and provide scientifically grounded recommendations on strategic management, business process reengineering, and digitalization policies. A methodological framework will be developed alongside systems for tracking tangible assets to improve transparency and resource efficiency in enterprises. The outcomes will include scientific publications, a monograph or textbook, and registered patents or copyright certificates.
