Production of domestic electric vehicles for the work in the streets

science

Satbayev University creates domestic cars, electric cars, buggies, electric tractors. The dominant goal is to offer consumers high-quality and reliable machines for operation. University engineers, students and young specialists are working on the project, which makes it possible to use and test the knowledge gained at the university in practice.

At the moment, the development and refinement of machines for small-scale production is underway. During the project, 3 prototypes of electric tractors were made, which are being tested and examined while working at University territory.

Project’s author is Alibek Ibragim. He started the project in 2022 with the university grant he won for the production of special equipment. Since then, more than 6 variants of frame designs and machine layout have been designed and assembled.

This is how the mini electric tractor was developed – a special-purpose machine designed to work in urban and agricultural conditions. The electric tractor is distinguished by its silent operation. The power of tractors varies from 2 to 10 kW, depending on motor specifics.

The given machine empowers to create a single platform for elaborating the future vehicles, such as trucks and special purpose vehicles. Having one platform makes it easier to make changes to it and the main advantage is the use of the same components for different machines.

The creation of Kazakhstan's special-purpose electric vehicles contributes to the advancement of mechanical engineering and the economy, opening new production facilities and new jobs.

Project results:

  • Increasing the availability of special purpose electric vehicles;
  • Job creation in Kazakhstan;
  • Local maintenance and repair of electrical equipment;
  • Improving the country's competitiveness in the global market of electric vehicles.
