Goal of the work: Development of a software product for the digital twin of the urban heating network

Relevance of the work: The effectiveness of the project lies in the development of a software product for digitalization and optimization of heat supply systems in cities of Kazakhstan, which reduces accidents, increases energy efficiency and ensures transparent operational management of heating networks.

Results obtained:  In 2025, according to the project plan, a database structure was developed for the digitalization of district heating system assets, including data on buildings, network nodes, and operational parameters. The system supports storage and processing of historical data with different time resolutions for modeling and analysis. Mathematical models and algorithms for network topology analysis, flow and temperature calculations with heat losses were developed, along with adjustment and verification modules. A user interface with visual components for data input, editing, and analysis, including graphical representation of the network, was implemented. Export functionality to MS Word and MS Excel with automated report generation was developed. The heating network of Almaty city was digitized, enabling comprehensive thermo-hydraulic calculations. Initial work on a GIS-based digital twin was also carried out to integrate spatial and technical data for system analysis.
