AP25793737 – Improvement petrophysical justification methodology of the interpretation data and increasing efficiency of geophysical welllogging research at exogenous type uranium deposits

Objective of the projectThe improvement of the methodology for obtaining correlations of borehole and laboratory (GWL-core) information on exogenous uranium deposits is carried out to obtain more accurate geological, field, technological and resource parameters of geological media according to the data of geophysical well surveys (GWL).

Relevance: Geophysical well exploration methods are essential for comprehensive study of exogenous uranium deposits in Kazakhstan. They enable safe and efficient data acquisition and support the solution of geological and technological problems at deposits. An urgent industry issue is to improve the accuracy of borehole data interpretation and establish correlations with laboratory (core) studies. The project research aims to systematize the physico-geological characteristics of rocks and enhance the reliability of seismic and geophysical methods.

Scientific supervisor: Master of Technical Sciences, Nazerke Assyrbek Assyrbekkyzy.

Expected and achieved results: The project aims to improve the accuracy of interpreting geophysical and laboratory data in exogenous uranium deposits. Achieved results include the systematization of physical properties of rocks and ores and the identification of carbonate and clay content effects on geophysical fields. Induction logging demonstrated high reliability in assessing ore-bearing rock filtration properties. The project outcomes will be published in scientific journals and contribute to optimizing technological processes and improving research methodologies.
