AP23489269 – Geotechnical monitoring of geodynamic state of geological and structural environment of rock mass during subsoil development to ensure industrial reliability
Objective of the project – Geotechnical monitoring of rock massifs, the intensity of SES to ensure the industrial of field of long-term operation by developing a methodology for observing geospatial data, geotechnical processes that consider the regularities of the manifestation scientific significance of observation results.
Relevance: The relevance of the project is determined by the significant role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the global mineral resource balance and the need to improve the efficiency and safety of subsoil development. The intensification of mining production and the introduction of new technologies require enhanced control over the geotechnical condition of rock masses. As the depth and scale of mining increase, engineering and geological conditions become more complex, leading to higher risks of deformation and technogenic accidents. Under these conditions, the development of modern geomechanical monitoring systems becomes essential. Existing methods for assessing the stress-strain state of rock masses are largely based on traditional approaches and do not adequately account for emerging geodynamic processes. The identification of zones of intensive ground subsidence is of particular importance for industrial safety. The use of geospatial data and high-precision geodetic technologies provides new opportunities for more accurate analysis and prediction of deformation processes. The development of an integrated monitoring methodology incorporating advanced measurement and modeling technologies will improve the accuracy and timeliness of the obtained data. This will provide a basis for effective decision-making and the prevention of technogenic risks. Thus, the project has significant scientific and practical importance and is aimed at ensuring the sustainable and safe development of the mining industry.

Expected and achieved results: The expected and achieved results of the project are as follows. A geodynamic test site project was developed, including points of the state geodetic and reference mine surveying networks, intended for geotechnical monitoring and ensuring industrial reliability during subsoil development. A comprehensive analysis of scientific literature, research reports, and geological-surveying documentation was carried out, which provided the methodological basis for the study. Aerial surveying using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was performed, and the coordinates of existing and newly established geodetic points were determined using satellite positioning technologies. Forced-centering geodetic points were established and fixed to enable high-precision measurements of deformation processes over time. Field observation cycles (GNSS and leveling) were conducted, allowing the determination of spatial displacements and identification of trends in local deformations. It was established that the proposed monitoring system ensures high accuracy and reliability in assessing the state of near-surface geological structures. Georadar studies were carried out and a three-dimensional model of the study area surface was developed. Based on the integration of georadar and geodetic data, a numerical model of the stress-strain state of the rock mass was created using the Rocscience RS3 software. The distribution of deformation fields was analyzed, and zones of stress concentration were identified. Potential epicenters of subsidence trough formation were determined, confirming the possibility of forecasting geodynamic processes and the practical significance of the developed methodology.
