AP19677859 – Development of software for the selection of enhanced oil recovery methods in conditions of fuzzy geological and physical data
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop software for the selection of effective enhancement oil recovery methods of oil fields
Relevance: The average oil recovery factor in Kazakhstan is only 35%, which is low compared to developed oil producing countries. Considering that a significant part of production is from large fields in the late stages of development, the development of fuzzy logic software for EORM selection will be an important contribution to improving oil recovery efficiency and advancing domestic science and technology.

Results obtained: The study resulted in the development and validation of the “EOR Screening Application” software for selecting enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods. The system evaluates and ranks 16 EOR techniques based on geological, physical, and economic parameters. The software was tested using data from the Kenbay field, demonstrating consistency with laboratory experiment results. The system architecture, database structure, and technical documentation were developed in compliance with relevant standards. The proposed solution reduces decision-making time and improves the economic efficiency of field development projects. The integration of fuzzy logic and intelligent analysis enhances the accuracy and reliability of EOR method selection.
