Goal of the work: Creation of a local geoid model based on a combination of gravimetric, astronomical and geodetic data, global geopotential models and digital terrain models.

Relevance of the work: The creation of a high-precision geoid model for Kazakhstan is not only of great scientific importance, but also economically beneficial, as it will allow replacing complex and expensive geometric leveling methods with simpler and more accessible GNSS methods.

Results obtained:  Within the research work, gravimetric data of the Republic of Kazakhstan were updated, including digitization of archival maps, spatial referencing, and the creation of a unified geospatial database. Field and laboratory studies were carried out to improve methods for measuring the gravitational constant and to analyze factors affecting measurement accuracy. A modern geoid model of Kazakhstan (QazGM2025) was developed using global geopotential models and the LSMSA method, achieving high agreement with GNSS/leveling data. A digital gravimetric map was produced, and gravimetric, geodetic, and geological datasets were integrated. An accredited gravimetric calibration range was established, and an updated methodology for gravimeter calibration was developed and implemented. Recommendations were prepared to reduce the cost of field gravimetric surveys and optimize measurement processes. Dissemination activities were conducted to share the research results with the scientific community and stakeholders.
