Purpose: Solving the problem of increasing the safety and efficiency of ventilation of mines and mines by modernizing main ventilation fans that have run out of life and do not meet the requirements of the ventilation system of mining enterprises, through the development and use of highly loaded rotors.

Relevance: The project is relevant for the mining industry, where efficient ventilation of mines and mines plays a key role in ensuring safety and increasing productivity. Upgrading outdated main ventilation fans that do not meet modern requirements will improve the parameters of ventilation systems, increase the reliability of equipment, reduce operating costs and significantly increase efficiency. Modern fans with highly loaded rotors will ensure more stable ventilation operation, which is extremely important for the conditions of mines and mines, and will also reduce the impact on the environment.

Results obtained: Within the research work, an analysis of the aerodynamic performance of main ventilation fans of the VOD and VOKD types was conducted, and approaches to improving their efficiency were identified. Based on mathematical modeling and airflow field analysis, the modernization of two-stage axial fans was justified by replacing them with a single-stage configuration featuring an inlet guide vane and a straightening apparatus. Both inverse and direct aerodynamic problems were solved, enabling the determination of optimal blade geometry and fan performance characteristics. A stress-strain analysis of structural components was performed, including an assessment of vibration behavior and natural frequencies. Working design documentation was developed for the modernization of the VOD-30 fan. The obtained results demonstrate the possibility of increasing fan capacity, pressure, and service life while reducing rotor mass and improving operational reliability.
