AP08053222 – Development of a hydropulse generator for enhancing the effectiveness of well drilling in complex mining and geological conditions

Relevance: The development of a hydraulic impulse generator (high-impulse hydraulic hammer), which, due to the shock impulses transmitted to the bottom of the well, creates cracks and increases the dynamic force of the impact, which, accordingly, contributes to an increase in oil recovery and drilling speed, is, of course, an urgent task.

Goal of the project: Development and creation of a hydro-pulse generator for mining and mineral testing in order to process mineral raw materials.

Scientific supervisor: PhD, Akhy`mbaeva Bibinur Serikovna

Results obtained: The conducted research identified the key design parameters of a hydro-impulse generator capable of efficient operation with downhole pneumatic hammers. The influence of various factors on core recovery during drilling of different rock categories was analyzed, allowing the determination of optimal design parameters. Differences between drilling in dry and water-bearing wells were established, and technological solutions to improve performance were proposed. Test results demonstrated stable core recovery rates of 85–96% and relatively high mechanical drilling speeds. A total of 1,563 meters of wells were drilled during field tests, confirming the reliability of the equipment under industrial conditions. The obtained results were implemented in the educational process and supported by publications indexed in Scopus. Overall, the study confirms the effectiveness and practical applicability of the proposed technology.
