Incubation Center — Fab Lab Satbayev University
The Fab Lab at Satbayev University is a newly established incubation center designed to foster engineering creativity, applied research, and technological entrepreneurship. Although the center is currently in its early development phase, it is already envisioned as a future cornerstone of the university’s innovation ecosystem. Fab Lab aims to bring together students, researchers, project teams, and industrial partners in a shared space dedicated to experimentation and creation.
The core idea behind the Lab is to provide a place where concepts can evolve from early sketches into tangible prototypes. Students will be able to work on projects that require technical implementation, researchers will have the opportunity to test their hypotheses in practice, and startup teams will be able to develop solutions that may later be commercialized or launched as university spin-off companies.

Fab Lab is being developed in close collaboration with the Office of Commercialization and Contract Research. This connection ensures that project teams can access the technical, legal, and strategic assistance necessary for commercialization, participation in programs such as RNNTD, international accelerators, and the creation of spin-off companies at Satbayev University.
In the near future, the Lab will be equipped with tools for rapid prototyping and experimental development. These facilities will support the creation of engineering devices, electronic systems, robotics solutions, smart city technologies, and innovations in water purification and environmental sustainability. The infrastructure is being assembled step by step, and updates will be published as the center grows.
